As for Hanoi, I liked their outfits, but could never understand why they didn't wear some sort of heel. MM would have looked good wearing some Anello and Davide MJs as Bolan did in his early glam days! Think the cover of Obscure Alternatives by Japan, they were wearing that type of shoe.

To return to the topic...I like the sound of controlled tension, hence I love the production of glam. I also like clothes, always have, and that is another part of my glam attraction.

Image is a plus, but if they look cool as hell and then their songs are dogshit, that it truely terrible... people like that should stick to modelling not music.

Initially because it looked so much better than punk! You wanted to be one of them, they looked so out there, so fucked (remember, this is 1986-1990). Then it all went a bit ropey. I couldnt stand it when crap bands playing blues put on some eyeliner and were suddenly GLAM!
It should have all been about the energy, the danger, the balls, the gang mentality, the fucking huge chorus, the sadness in the lyrics, the lost girl, the broken heart, the drink that will make it all better.
It should have been Tyla, not Brett Michaels. The Lords of the New Church, not Warrant. It should have been filthy and need of a wash.
Sadly a lot of the tunes were shit.
